POLLEN - WHITE CLOVER

An original embroidered artwork.

Created in 2023 this artwork depicts agrain of clover pollen, embroidered in many shades of green and yellows.

Pollen - which usually looks like yellow powder, is amazingly diverse in appearance. It could be rounded, oval, triangular, smooth, spiky - you name it and there’s probably a pollen that looks like it. I’ve photographed, using a microscope camera, all the wild flower pollens on my farm but have chosen the white clover to embroider.

Materials:

Thread, pins on Fabriano 50% cotton art paper

Embroidery size approximately 10 x 12cm

Framed in a matt white, shadow box frame with AR70 UV protective, conservation museum art glass.

Suitable for wall hanging or free standing.
